The Still Point Policies

Masking
Masks are not required in our general clinic area, and are optional in session with some therapists. The therapists who require masks will note it next to their name in their bio. All therapists will wear a mask upon request. If you arrive at an appointment and refuse to wear a mask in session with a therapist who requires masking, your session will be cancelled and you will be charged full price for the session.

Reservation Policy
A credit card number is required for all appointment bookings. The booking software will not accept gift cards or FSA/HSA cards to hold the appointment, but you can pay with them at checkout.
Appointments are open to book until 1 hour before the scheduled start time. The appointment must be made in the name of the person planning to attend the session.

Cancellations
You may cancel your appointment without charge up to 24 hours preceding your appointment, after which all late cancellations/no-shows will be charged 100% of the session fee. We cannot charge gift cards or packages for late cancellations/no-shows. Package reservations will be charged the non-discounted session cost. The debit/credit card used to hold the appointment will be charged.

If you are unable to make your appointment, you can always send someone else in your place. Just let us know via text/phone call (Our therapists on-shift do not have access to email). If we have at least 4 business hours notice, we may be able to rebook your appointment. In this case, we can forgive your cancellation fee.

Repeat No-Show/Late Cancellations

After 3 No-Shows/Late Cancellations in a 1-year period, we will add a 20% service charge to your cancellation fee.

Late Clients
If you arrive late to your appointment, time may be taken from your session to avoid penalizing the following client. You will be charged the full amount for your session.

Hygiene
Both the therapist and client are required to practice proper hygiene etiquette. Due to health and safety regulations, the therapist reserves the right to refuse treatment due to improper hygiene.

Sexual Harassment

The Still Point has a zero tolerance policy for any type of sexual harassment. If a client behaves in a manner that makes a therapist or another client feel uncomfortable or unsafe, they will be asked to leave immediately and charged full price for their session.

Our clinic is a 100% safe space for all who enter here. This principle is strictly enforced. The Still Point offer strictly non-sexual massage therapy services. The Still Point is a respected and credible healthcare facility. All of the therapists employed at The Still Point are certified, licensed and insured as Massage Therapists in Washington State.

If the therapist is made to feel uncomfortable by the client, the therapist has the right to end the session at any time. The client will be charged full price for their session and asked not to return. If the therapist is made immediately uncomfortable by the client for any reason, the therapist has the right not to begin the session. The client will be charged full price for the session and asked not to return.

Our harassment policy also extends to protect the client. The client has the right to end the session at any time. If the client makes any claim of harassment on the therapist's part, a thorough investigation will be made. If it is determined that the client was harassed by the therapist, a full refund will be given and the therapist's behavior will be addressed by management.

The Still Point strictly follows all Washington State laws on draping, sexual harassment and ethical conduct.

Harassment

The Still Point has a zero tolerance policy for any type of harassment towards all employees and clients. It is our highest priority that this is a 100% safe space for all who enter here. Derogatory, divisive or alienating speech or behavior in any form will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave immediately and charged full price for your session.

Contraindications/Sick Policy
Massage is contraindicated when a client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or when a client presents symptoms of illness such as fever, diagnosed rash, or contagious infection.

To protect the health and safety of both clients and therapist, if you are symptomatic the day of your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible and do not come in. If we have at least 4 hours notice, and are able to rebook your appointment, we can forgive the cancellation fee.

All surfaces are sanitized between clients. All linens and towels are used for one session only before being laundered. Hand washing takes place before, after, and occasionally during a session, and our illness policy is strictly enforced. However, as some diseases can be contagious while the carrier is asymptomatic, there are no guarantees against contracting illness, even with the utmost care. Please take this into consideration if you or your loved ones have compromised immune systems.

Fragrances
The Still Point is a synthetic-fragrance-free clinic. We mindfully and sparingly use high quality, natural essential oils as air freshener, but we don’t wear fragrances or use scented personal products. Please avoid wearing fragrances or scented personal products to your appointment.

Shoes
The Still Point is a shoe-free clinic. There is a mat by the entry where you can leave your shoes.

Pets
Pets are not allowed in the clinic.
