The Still Point Policies

Cancellations

You may cancel at no charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. After that, late cancellations and no-shows are charged 100% of the session fee to the card used to hold the appointment.

Gift cards and packages cannot be charged for late cancellations or no-shows — package reservations will be charged the non-discounted session rate instead.

If you can't make it, you have two options to avoid the fee:

  • Send someone in your place — just let us know by call or text. (On-shift therapists don't have access to email, so please don't reach out that way.)

  • Give us at least 4 business hours' notice — we may be able to rebook your appointment and waive the fee.

Reservation Policy

A credit card is required to book all appointments. Gift cards and FSA/HSA cards cannot be used to hold a reservation, but you're welcome to pay with them at checkout.

Appointments can be booked up to 1 hour before the scheduled start time. Please book in the name of the person attending the session.

Repeat No-Shows & Late Cancellations

After 3 no-shows or late cancellations within a 12-month period, a 20% service charge will be added to your cancellation fee.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session time may be shortened to avoid affecting the next client. You will be charged the full session fee regardless.

Masking

Masks are not required in our common areas and are optional in session with most therapists. Therapists who require masking note it in their bio. All therapists will wear a mask upon request.

If you arrive for a session with a therapist who requires masking and decline to wear one, the session will be cancelled and the full fee will be charged.

Contraindications & Illness

Massage is contraindicated when a client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or is presenting symptoms of illness such as fever, a diagnosed rash, or a contagious infection.

If you're feeling symptomatic on the day of your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible and do not come in. If we receive at least 6 hours' notice and can rebook your session, the cancellation fee will be waived.

All surfaces are sanitized between clients. Linens and towels are used once before laundering, and thorough hand washing takes place before, during, and after every session. That said, some illnesses are contagious before symptoms appear, so we cannot guarantee against transmission even with the greatest care. Please keep this in mind if you or your loved ones are immunocompromised.

Fragrances

The Still Point is a synthetic-fragrance-free clinic. We use high-quality natural essential oils sparingly as air freshener, but do not wear fragrances or use scented personal products. Please do the same when coming in for your appointment.

Hygiene

Both therapists and clients are expected to practice proper hygiene. Our therapists

reserve the right to decline a session if hygiene standards are not met, in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Sexual Harassment

The Still Point has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment of any kind. Our clinic is a 100% safe space, and all therapists are certified, licensed, and insured massage therapists in Washington State. We provide strictly non-sexual therapeutic services and strictly follow all Washington State laws on draping, sexual harassment, and ethical conduct.

If a client's behavior makes a therapist or another client feel uncomfortable or unsafe, they will be asked to leave immediately and charged the full session fee — and may be asked not to return.

Therapists also have the right to end or decline to begin a session at any time if they feel uncomfortable, with the full fee charged.

Clients are equally protected. You have the right to end your session at any time. Any claim of harassment by a therapist will be thoroughly investigated. If substantiated, a full refund will be issued and the therapist's conduct will be addressed by management.

Harassment

We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind toward clients or staff. Derogatory, divisive, or alienating speech or behavior will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave immediately and charged the full session fee.

Packages

Packages are available in sets of 4 sessions of the same length, offered at 10% off the regular session rate.

To purchase a package, clients must use their own name and email address — packages are non-transferable and may only be used by the person who purchased them.

Gratuity is not included in package pricing and is always appreciated separately.

All sessions are subject to our standard cancellation policy, and packages are non-refundable.

Gift Cards

Gift card value never expires. Please note that service prices are subject to change. Gift cards are non-refundable.

Shoes

The Still Point is a shoe-free clinic. Please leave your shoes on the mat by the entrance.

Pets

Pets are not permitted in the clinic.

HIPAA

The Still Point protects your privacy in full accordance with HIPAA regulations.
